The major emphasis of this course is to provide students with a program to develop the instrumental performance and marching skills within the marching band setting. Objectives are to combine high-level musical performance with uniform marching style to create interesting and entertaining maneuvers suitable for parades, sporting events, and other outdoor venues. This course is open to students who have experience with performing on a woodwind, brass or percussion instrument or with the permission of the teacher.

Band Camp
Band camp is a great time for students to create bonds that last a lifetime.
There are two band camps scheduled during the summer. Band Camp allows new students to get acclimated to the campus and build a core group of friends prior to starting their high school career, adding to their comfort and success at ECRCHS.
What to bring to Camp:

Plenty of Water of water. Everyone MUST get a 1-gallon Blue Coleman Jug before band Camp (link here)

Sack Lunch (Eat a good breakfast, too). Bringing your own lunch is encouraged, but you will have ample time to walk to a local food establishment.
