The major emphasis of this course is to provide students with a program to develop the instrumental performance and marching skills within the marching band setting. Objectives are to combine high-level musical performance with uniform marching style to create interesting and entertaining maneuvers suitable for parades, sporting events, and other outdoor venues. This course is open to students who have experience with performing on a woodwind, brass or percussion instrument or with the permission of the teacher.

Grant A. Horn is a Percussion Instructor, Arranger, and Visual Designer based out of Los Angeles California. His marching experience includes; Gold Drum and Bugle Corps, PCC, Orange County Independent, and the Center Snare for the Pasadena City College Marching Band in 2017. Over his marching career, he has earned multiple Gold Medals in SCPA Independent A and Independent Open Class. Grant performed at the Coachella Music Festival in 2017 with "The Procrastinators" and for several commercials with McDonald's during the 2017 Grammy's, and Super Bowl. He is also currently the Head of Percussion at Granada Hills Charter High School, a WGI West and SCPA Open Class Finalist, and Valencia High School. He is endorsed by Vic Firth Drum Sticks, Zildjian Cymbals, and Balter Mallets.

Grant A. Horn
With his extensive history in the marching arts, Ron Vidola is a key player to our program. He is a Woodwinds and Brass Instructor, Arranger, and Visual designer based out of Los Angeles, California. As the music and visual caption head, he oversees all the music, marching, and band choreography for our marching program. Ron has been a member of Gold, Oregon Crusaders, and the Bluecoats, competing in both open and world class drum corps circuits. Alongside working at El Camino Real, he is also currently the Visual Caption Head at both Valencia High School and Granada Hills Charter High School.

Ron Daniel Vidola
As a Visual and Brass Tech, Loki, along with Ron Daniel Vidola and Mathew Ronquillo, helps with the band's choreography, and the brass section. She marched Euphonium for the Oregon Crusaders in 2017. With her extended experience in this activity, she is able to bring great insight to our program and specifically to our young musicians.
